M.Sc Ultrasound

This course is aimed at health care professionals who are working in clinical ultrasound who wish to develop proficiency in the provision of medical ultrasound and obtain further training in the area of medical ultrasound research. It enables development of advanced practice and research skills. Teaching resources are provided mainly online and material is structured to guide the student through the subject content on a weekly schedule with exercises that ensure the course retains a clinical focus.



M.Sc Clinical Psychology

The course is aimed at individuals who wish to acquire an in-depth knowledge of clinical psychology in order to enhance their application to training programmes to qualify as a clinical psychologist. Enabling these graduates to apply the concepts of Clinical Psychology to both Practical and Research Work. An extensive training is provided to the students in Psychological Assessment, Therapeutic Intervention, and Research. A one year top-up MS Program is also being offered for professionals who have completed their Advanced Diploma in Clinical Psychology (ADCP). Orientation about the resources, facilities, rules and regulations is given before the commencement of the classes which is mandatory for the students to attend.
In addition to the theoretical component of the programme, the 15-day placement experience allows the student to gain more than an insight into the working practice of clinical psychology. Two dissertations require the student to reflect on experience gained on placement and also to complete a thorough an critical literature review in the area of specialism.

Master of Public Health

The M.P.H. degree program promotes a broad focus on the myriad factors that influence population health, of which medical care is one. These factors include socioeconomic conditions, cultural beliefs and practices, behavioral risk factors, and environmental exposures. The M.P.H. degree is appropriate for those who want to manage health programs that deliver preventive health care and other public health services in a wide range of institutions, both public and private. The degree also prepares students for public and private sector careers in public health policy, planning, and advocacy. Further, the M.P.H. degree in Health Management and Policy is appropriate for those who plan to manage or direct programs in international health agencies. The curriculum provides training and skills in the management of public health programs and initiatives, and the analysis of public health policies. The Master of Public Health provides a foundation in the research disciplines of epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics and health promotion, as well as the broader social context in which public health programs are planned, delivered and evaluated.
